AVARI F.A.Qs

What AVARI Air Purifier would you recommend for ___ size room?

We recommend the Avari 500/525 for small-medium size rooms (about 100-125sq ft.) and the Avari 600 for medium to large rooms (about 125-200 sq ft).

Does AVARI Air Purifier filter Coronavirus/Covid-19?

Of course we get a lot of questions about this. We don’t want to make any claims since we have not conducted a specific study to filtering the COVID-19 virus. Theoretically, since Covid-19 virus particles are said to be measured between 0.06 to 1.4 microns, Avari will help capture the virus particles and clean the air.

What is the difference between the Avari 500/525?

The interior of the AV-500 and AV-525 are identical. Just the exterior covers are slightly different shapes. The 500 are a bit more rounded and the 525 is more angular. The performance is the same.

Does the Avari have any registration numbers?

We are registered with CARB (https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/air-cleaners-ozone-products/california-certified-air-cleaning-devices) We also have UL 507 on the product under registration #E494881 which can be seen on our tests page: https://avariair.com/pages/tests_certifications

What is the Avari certified for?

Our filters have patents in 27 countries, and our filters are 3rd-party-certified to verify the performance of our purifiers. View specific certifications at the product page on our website.

“Product captures up to 0.1 microns; what percentage? And does it kill those microns after it captures them, or reintroduce them into the air?”

0.1 microns refers to the size of the particles that the Avari will capture from the air. Those tiny particles like dust, pollen, mold, viruses, and bacteria will not pass through the filter. Some Avari air purifiers actively sterilize particles with Violet-Blue LED light, while other models hold particles against the filter via electrostatic charge until the particles dehydrate and die. The lifespan of living particles such as viruses and bacteria ranges between a few hours to a few weeks. When cleaning the machine, we recommend wearing gloves and a mask if you would like to exercise full caution.

How do I clean the filter safely?

Cleaning processes vary for each air purifier. For the most accurate information, it’s best to consult your user manual.

How long will my filters last, and how much do replacements cost?

Avari 500/525 filters are only $23.95 each, and Avari 600 filters are only $35.95. Depending on the air quality of the space and if you clean your filter monthly, the AV500/525 filters can last up to 12 months. The AV600 filters can last up to 12-18 months with proper cleaning.

Will Avari Air Purifier filter mold spores?

Yes both the 500/525 and the 600 filter mold spores. Spores tend to range between 3-100 microns and Avari's patented ESF filter captures particles as small as 0.1 microns.

Does the Avari remove smells, such as cat litter and diaper bins?

Avari purifiers are scientifically proven to pull in harmful VOCs present in things like cigarette smoke and harsh chemical cleaners, additionally, customers report fresher smelling air when positioned near places like litter boxes, and dirty diaper bins.
