  • VOCs

Avari removes Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which are common harmful gasses found in things like household cleaners, burning candles, and cigarette smoke.

  • Viruses

Our patented filters go beyond traditional HEPA filters, capturing particles down to 0.1 microns, eliminating several airborne viruses like H1N1, pneumonia, and the common flu.

  • Bacteria

From old leftovers to bathroom and kitchens, bacteria are a huge contributor to household pollutants.

  • Odors

Get rid of common odors from things like kitchen smells, workout clothes, cat boxes, and kids in general.

  • Pet Dander

Avari makes your pets even more lovable by removing their dander from the air, which can float around for months.

Focused On The Details

Avari purifiers are scientifically proven to capture particles as small as 0.1 microns, while most air purifiers only stop particles down to 0.3. Avari purifiers protect your breathing space from many more viruses, bacteria, and pollutants.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Avari would you recommend for ___ size room?

We recommend the Avari 500/525 for small-medium size rooms (about 100-125sq ft.) and the Avari 600 for medium to large rooms (about 125-200 sq ft).

Does this filter Coronavirus/Covid-19?

Of course we get a lot of questions about this. We don’t want to make any claims since we have not conducted a specific study to filtering the COVID-19 virus. Theoretically, since Covid-19 virus particles are said to be measured between 0.06 to 1.4 microns, Avari will help capture the virus particles and clean the air.

What is the difference between the Avari 500/525?

The interior of the AV-500 and AV-525 are identical. Just the exterior covers are slightly different shapes. The 500 are a bit more rounded and the 525 is more angular. The performance is the same.

Does the Avari have any registration numbers?

We are registered with CARB (https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/air-cleaners-ozone-products/california-certified-air-cleaning-devices)We also have UL 507 on the product under registration #E494881 which can be seen on our tests page: https://avariair.com/pages/tests_certifications

What is the Avari certified for?

Our filters have patents in 27 countries, and our USF filters are 3rd-party-certified to verify the performance of our purifiers. View specific certifications at the bottom of any product page on our website.

“Product captures up to 0.1 microns; what percentage? And does it kill those microns after it captures them, or reintroduce them into the air?”

0.1 microns refers to the size of the particles that the Avari will capture from the air. Those tiny particles like dust, pollen, mold, viruses, and bacteria will not pass through the filter. Some Avari air purifiers actively sterilize particles with Violet-Blue LED light, while other models hold particles against the filter via electrostatic charge until the particles dehydrate and die. The lifespan of living particles such as viruses and bacteria ranges between a few hours to a few weeks. When cleaning the machine, we recommend wearing gloves and a mask if you would like to exercise full caution.

“Since live particles are held by electrostatic attraction, aren’t they freed to be released back into the air if the machine is not active?”

The Avari does not run a current through its filter. Our proprietary polymer synthetic resin filters (ESF) stay charged, even while the machine is off. When cleaning the machine, we recommend wearing gloves and a mask if you would like to exercise full caution. How do I clean the filter safely?

Cleaning processes vary for each air purifier. For the most accurate information, it’s best to consult your user manual.

How long will my filters last, and how much do replacements cost?

Depending on the air quality of the space and if you clean your filter monthly, the AV500/525 filters can last up to 12 months. The AV600 filters can last up to 12-18 months with proper cleaning.

Will this filter mold spores?

Yes ALL Avari filters will capture mold spores. Spores tend to range between 3-100 microns and Avari's patented ESF filter captures particles as small as 0.1 microns.

Will this filter smell?

When cleaning your filter, you may notice a slight smell, the result of captured particles, that should dissipate over time.

Does the Avari remove smells, such as cat litter and diaper bins?

Avari purifiers are scientifically proven to pull in harmful VOCs present in things like cigarette smoke and harsh chemical cleaners, additionally, customers report fresher smelling air when positioned near places like litter boxes, and dirty diaper bins.

Is the Avari an ionizer?

The Avari is a mechanical filter. While it is not an ionizer, our physical filter happens to have a static charge which helps in the filtering process. We do have publicly viewable ozone tests as well. https://avariair.com/pages/tests_certifications https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/air-cleaners-ozone-products/california-certified-air-cleaning-devices

Does the Avari have a MERV rating?

MERV testing is primarily used for HVAC systems. The highest MERV tests for particles from 3.0 micron to 0.3 microns. Avari filters down to PM 0.1 micron. So its design to micro filter for smaller personal spaces, not big rooms. I invite you to look at our 3rd party lab tests for viruses, bacteria, VOCs here. https://avariair.com/pages/tests_certifications

Can the LED indicator light be turned off?

Only the blue light at the bottom of the Avari 600 can be turned off. The 500/525 have indicator lights that cannot be turned off. We recommend covering the light with tape or paper if you require a dark room.

Does the Avari produce Ozone?

The Avari has undergone Ozone Emissions Testing There is no ionizer producing ozone here.

Do Avari air purifiers use batteries?

No. Avari air purifiers need to be plugged into a wall outlet to be used.
